Praise Him Now: {What if We Really Believed?}

"If you wait until it's all good in your life to give God praise and to have peace in your heart and to enjoy what God has given you, you never will." PraiseNow2

What if we really believed that he's got the whole world in his hands?

What of we really trusted that He loves us and desires the best for us?

What if we really believed that He works all things, our obediences and our sins and our trials and our joys, together for good?

What if we really walked as though He is with us every moment?

What if we really trusted His goodness and His faithfulness?

It’s hard to have faith when we can't see the big picture. It’s hard to look past the here and now to trust for a result we can’t see. It’s hard to rejoice in the power of a God who is wise and good and powerful beyond our comprehension.

Because... If we really believed His goodness, we’d be praising and thanking God daily, not just on the good days.

If we really believed His sovereignty and love, we’d be praising Him in the storm, not just after the storm.

If we really believed His power and care, we’d be thanking Him for His provision before we see it.

If we really believed His worth, we’d be worshiping Him regardless of how we felt.

If we really believed He is with us, we’d be at peace in the midst of heartache.

And there comes a time, there must come a time in your faith, when you choose faith. When you choose to worship and praise and give thanks before you see the answered prayer, before you see the plan laid out.

Because... "If you wait until it's all good in your life to give God praise and to have peace in your heart and to enjoy what God has given you, you never will." Steven Furtick

Faith can’t happen when there is nothing unseen. Faith can’t happen when you already know the outcome. Faith can’t happen after the trial has been weathered.

Faith happens in the midst of the storm, when you can’t see the outcome, and when there seems to be no hope. Because our hope isn’t in things that are seen.

Our hope is in the goodness and love and faithfulness and sovereignty of a God more wise and powerful and wonderful than we can comprehend.

And in our frailty that kind of faith is something we could only wish for, but we serve a God who gives us the faith we need when we ask for it.

We can’t create faith and trust on our own. But we can turn and relentlessly seek a God who will fill us with faith and trust in Himself because He is good.
